Valentine`s Day is February 14th!
If ever there is an occasion to send your true love flowers, Valentine’s Day is it. Sending flowers is one of the most popular ways to express your love on February 14. Everyone loves receiving flowers on Valentine’s Day, but there is a whole other level of excitement that comes with having them hand delivered. We have carefully curated a collection of expressive bouquets that are as unique as the one who will be receiving them. Red roses are the quintessential Valentine’s Day flower and for good reason — in flower talk they speak the language of love. Our Fascinating Bouquet, Love and Devotion Arrangement and Lavish Bouquet are all fine examples filled with velvety-red roses.
Not much is known about St. Valentine, the holiday’s namesake. One legend tells us that Valentine — a martyred saint — was a priest during the Roman Empire in the third century. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers, he banned all soldiers from getting married. Realizing the injustice of such a law, Valentine began to secretly marry soldiers. When the emperor discovered what he had been doing, he ordered that Valentine be put to death — February 14, 270 AD. While we may not know the exact origins of Valentine’s Day, we are certain that it is a day specially set aside to celebrate love.
In addition to red roses, our assortment of Valentine’s Day flowers is bursting with many different designs, colors and price points. Orange roses symbolize passion, desire and fascination and when combined with red roses as in our Deep Emotions bouquet, it makes for a very romantic arrangement. The color pink is also an appropriate choice, representing grace, elegance, sweetness and poetic romance. Our Rose Rapture bouquet is filled with an abundance of light to dark pink hues that will take anyone’s breath away.
